We experienced a case of acute febrile mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome complicated by gallbladder hydrops and coronary artery aneurysm in a 2-year old female patient who presented with fever, conjunctival injection, erythema of the oropharynx, strawberry tongue, erythematous fissured lips, indurative edema of hands and feet with palm and sole erythema, desquamation of the perianal region, erythematous maculopapular rash and enlarged cervical lymph node.
Gallbladder hydrops was diagnosed by ultrasonography on hospital day 5 and ultrasonogram demonstrated spherical anechoic gallbladder with the greatest longitudinal axis measuring 10 cm. Gallbladder returned to normal size by hospital day 12. Coronary artery aneurysm was diagnosed by 2-dimensional echocardiography on hospital day 12.
We report the case with brief review of literature.
